Summary of org’s work
Apex Protection Project is dedicated to the rescue, care, and advocacy of wolves, with a strong focus on building trust-based relationships that ensure each animal’s well-being. Their rescued wolf pack lives in a safe, enriching environment with top-tier care, and plays a vital role in Apex’s educational and outreach programs. These include school visits, youth volunteer opportunities, the national Apex Roundtable, and Sedona Wolf Week, one of the largest wolf education events in the U.S. Through these personal, experiential programs, Apex fosters greater understanding between humans and wolves, advocating for a world where wolves and all species are valued and protected.
Location of work
Apex is part of a nationwide captive-born wolf and wolfdog rescue network that works together to place animals all around the United States. There are anywhere from 2 to 30 wolves and wolfdogs in need of rescue almost every week and the organisation helps as many as they can. Apex also supports wolf advocacy efforts across the U.S. and around the globe as part of numerous coalitions and initiatives. They impressive social media following reaches tens of millions of people each year.
