Whale and Dolphin Conservation

38 ST. PAUL STREET CHIPPENHAM SN15 1LJ UNITED KINGDOM

Mission

To reverse the global decline in whale and dolphin populations by:

  • Stopping cruelty from deliberate harms such as whaling and captivity.
  • Creating safe seas, free from the threat of pollution, collisions with vessels and accidental entanglement in fishing gear.
  • Winning recognition of whales and dolphins as sentient, socially complex beings, and our allies in the fight against climate and nature breakdown.
  • WDC is acutely aware that such programmes can only be successful with the full support and participation of local people and aims to identify and work closely with local scientists, conservationists, educators and other community members in each region, in order to ensure long-term solutions for both cetaceans and their often shared, environment.
