Mission
To collect and care for injured, sick or orphaned animals belonging to European wildlife.
Summary of org’s work
Faune Alfort is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured, sick, and orphaned European wildlife, with the ultimate goal of reintroducing animals back into their natural habitats. Once treated with species-specific care, animals recover in outdoor enclosures to regain strength before release. Responding to a growing public concern for wild animals—especially in urban areas—Faune Alfort operates year-round with a team of over 300 students, interns, volunteers, and specialists committed to wildlife welfare.
Location of work
Faune Alfort supports wildlife across Europe, training independent veterinarians from the Île-de-France region who are committed to protecting wildlife. In partnership with the LPO Ile-de-France (Living and Poor Animals) (LPO Ile-de-France), a healthcare network is being established to provide individuals with competent local care.
