ILCP – Puma Pictures Film, Torres del Paine National Park, Chile

Mission

To support environmental and cultural conservation through ethical photography and filmmaking.

Summary of org’s work

The International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) programs are built on the participation and contributions of Fellows—a group of professional wildlife, nature, and cultural visual storytellers who, in addition to displaying remarkable photographic and filmmaking skills, have each demonstrated a deep commitment to conservation efforts around the globe. In 2023 & 2024, FON worked with iLCP on a film to help spotlight the elusive pumas of Torres del Paine National Park in southern Chile—one of the only places on Earth where sightings of these stealthy big cats are common. By documenting their behavior, seasonal movements, and the unique factors that support their thriving population, iLCP raised awareness about the importance of protecting this species and its habitat.
